I would like you to meet someone who was very very dear to me and the reason I started to blog. Her name is Danielle "Peacock" Chambers. She was my friend since 9th grade, sister, my son godmother, hair stylist, fashion icon, voice of reason, secret keeper and a whole list of other things LOL. As you can see from the one pic below, Danielle put the "F" in FASHION, she was a woman of sophisticated yet edgy style. She always looked amazing to me. Danni had the baddest cloths, bags, shoes and accessories, but in 2010 she saw fit to take high fashion to another level.... by getting a Halo.
In May of 2009, Danielle was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, a cancer that would take a toll on her physically but never spiritually. Danni fought a hard and courageous battle for almost two years before she lost her battle with Lymphoma on December 28,2010. On that day I lost a piece of me, but gained a new outlook on life. I'm a strong believer that everything happens for a reason, and if it wasn't for her illness/passing I would have still been pushing my dreams of fashion a side. So I would like to thank her for giving me another chance at life. I love you and miss you R.I.P Danni
